A hectic few weeks

Hello!
I've been very absent from my blog for the last month because I've been super super busy travelling up and down the country between Carlisle and London, Carlisle and Bristol, and Carlisle and Leeds (plus lots of other journeys in between) for lots of exciting things which I'll go into properly in the rest of today's posts. There was also the small matter of my final hand in at university ever. EVER. As scary as that sounds it is an amazing feeling and after 4 years I finally don't have a tight ball of stress in my chest anymore (okay I lied, it's still there but it's definitely a lot smaller) I now finally have time to read!

On one of my many many many train journeys over the last few weeks I decided to tweak my icon slightly to make my hair look a little more realistic and less flat. The version I use as my Twitter icon can be seen at the top of this post, however for some reason Blogger has decided to give me an extreme tan which I don't have until I upload it which I find hilarious as I'm very pasty in real life and proud of it.

So from me and my fake tanned icon, we hope you enjoy this little catch up of what I've been doing for the last month or so which does actually include some work. Only some though.
I've been a very busy lady.

Celebrity tweets

I decided to make use of my Twitter addiction and made a series of magazine spreads featuring celebrity tweets (I use the term "celebrity" loosely for Katie Hopkins though) I had a lot of fun with these, and tried something new with the style of imagery and varied my colour scheme more.

I've tweeted the designs to Katie, James and Anna – here's hoping they might see them and want me to make stuff out of all their tweets (yeah right, I can dream though)

Weekly word vomit: Katie Hopkins
Let me be Blunt
Truth be told: Anna Kendrick

There's always time for Twitter

Hello!
I've been a little bit rubbish on the blog front recently, but that's only because I've only got a few weeks on uni left which means a lot of work. However much work I have though, there's always time for Twitter. Here's what I've enjoyed over the last couple of weeks/however long it's been.

My week on Twitter 4 & 5

I've been super busy with uni work, planning projects and getting started on them, so I haven't been on Twitter that much. I've read quite a few interesting articles though, for both work and fun, but haven't retweeted them (boo!). Here's what I've enjoyed over the past couple of weeks:

My week on Twitter #3

It's been a very busy week as I had my dissertation to write and hand in, but I still managed to find some amazing stuff on Twitter this week. Some good reads, some thought provoking stuff and of course some design stuff. The "how obsessed with your phone are you?" animation was a particular highlight, I'd definitely recommend it. I also felt very nostalgic watching Eric Kallman's Old Spice ads, something I was introduced to at college.

But the absolute highlight of my week on Twitter/life in general has to be Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reuniting as Wayne and Garth (Wayne's World) for SNL's 40th birthday. EXCELLENT!

My week on Twitter #2

It's that time of the week again. Here's some of the things I enjoyed on Twitter this week, including a personal win for me in the last image. Hope you find something of interest. My handle is @DerrianBradder if you'd like to follow me :)
